Jacob reaches out to Peter Peter in mid 2024 to ask if he’d be interested in composing for the show
Peter Peter (a.k.a. Peter Roy, composer): In mid-2024, I received a message on Instagram from Jacob Tierney. He said, "I've been working on a script with your latest record playing. Are you interested in screen composing?" A few months later, he sent me early versions of the scripts. I read the whole series as it was being reworked over and over again. It occupied a big part of my headspace. I wrote lots of demos, but I threw everything down the drain when I received the footage, because I was like, "It's not good enough; I'll write music to the image." I had about seven weeks to write everything, about 10 days per episode. It was a lot of work, but something magical was happening. I felt like sometimes the footage wrote the music itself. I guess that what I'm proud of, I was a good listener to the show. I think it was Nov. 3 when I delivered the last two episodes.
