After a full day of working, swimming, and running around, I'm sitting here doing some volunteer work for @go2forlungcancer.bsky.social right now, and I miss her profoundly because she helped give me this day.

She told me the best place for a person with lung cancer to be was in the Bay Area due to the numerous treatment options, so we moved. She was that impactful to me and so many others. She lived for 21 years with advanced lung cancer-- all the while, prolonging and saving countless lives.

I been big since I was six and immunotherapy made it worse (a known side effect). I'm so glad I got to experience it in my lifetime-- that I got to feel and not just to know that it's a disease and that there is now an effective treatment.
