My latest cartoon for @theguardian.com books.
The 27th of December... “I think Dad got too many books for christmas this year.” Says a daughter. “Don't worry, he'll get through them.” Says the mother, looking up from her book. “But until then..?” Asks the daughter. “He'll be fine on turkey sandwiches until he's reduced the front piles” The father is completely surrounded by high teetering walls of stacked books. He is reading within and the daughter has thrown a sandwich in to him.

Pushing grainy k400 is a bit much for 1/2 frame, but still fun to shoot some trichromes with the new Pentax!

Here’s another writing/voting cartoon from a few years ago:
Title: Some alternative voting systems 1. Murder Mystery: Candidates are invited to spend a week in an isolated country house. Votes are cast every day and by night, whoever has the lowest number of votes is murdered in an unusual manner. 2. Epic Fantasy: Candidates are taken to the realm of darkness and imprisoned in ice. Voters must defeat the undead then use their ballot papers to make a fire and melt the ice of their chosen candidate. 3. Magic Realism: Candidates are turned into cats who dance in the moonlight to a flute played by a 100-year-old woman. Ballot papers are thrown down a well and the winner's name appears in an avocado.
