Don't want to be too cynical here, but I wonder how much unsold stock the publisher still had at this point in the year. I would imagine most had already been shipped to the retailers.

Yeah, as someone very much in the market for a first time buy in the next year or two, I'm awaiting with interest the details of the reforms around service charges etc that are supposed to be coming through.
