Preach! I am a sucker for grim and gritty worlds/settings and I find that - while more difficult to pull off well - a happy or bittersweet ending is way more profound than a "nobody gets happiness" kind of moral of the story.

Sure thing! Ink printers usually have routines to unclog dried up nozzles in the strings menu (at least my old one had) but it's so annoying to have to do that for basically every print. My laser printer stands unused for half a year, powers up and prints like a champ right away.
