Good news and bad news. The good news is yes, this particular article is satire. The bad news is that what they're satirizing is a real thing that just happened in which the National Park Service scrubbed all mention of Harriet Tubman from their page on the Underground Railroad.

In general or the specific distinction between what makes a bog a bog rather than a swamp, marsh or fen? The former is common knowledge as far as I know, but the latter is somewhat niche.

It's the same mentality as people who were afraid of SSDs having a known finite number of write cycles before gracefully failing and turning read only, while being fine with HDDs that would physically shatter without warning and become unreadable much sooner than the SSD would fail.

They direct you to a fake exchange app that acts completely normal aside from the small detail that you can't withdraw because you were never actually doing real trades, you were sending the scammer your money.

What's the logic there? "For evolution to be compatible with the second law of thermodynamics, there would need to be some massive energy source outside the Earth's atmosphere, providing it with light and heat. If such a thing existed, we'd have seen it"?
