Just got back from a visit to the Mid-Atlantic to look at potential areas to move to as we escape the South. We visited the National Aquarium 🐟🐡🐠🦜🦈 second best aquarium I've seen.

A shocking revelation today in homeschool. Everyone knows you can battery a potato, but did you know you can battery a goddamn stale hot dog bun?? Bananas and apples will also battery. Cheese is the worst battery thus far with an almost imperceptible charge

Winter is my favorite season. I'm hoping to move north soon, and hopefully in winters to come I'll see more days like this. Snow and ice are rare here in NC. I've missed them ever since moving here from NY as a kid

Pen sketch (no pencil, no erasing) of samurai helmet and armor from my own photo reference. These pen sketches are really improving my pencil work as they teach me to think more, be more deliberate and avoid leaning on my ability to erase. They never come out perfect but that's not the point

My sister gave me a gift card for A. Gallo watercolors this Christmas and I used it to make my own custom palette of mineral based colors. I'm fascinated with rare pigments, subtle colors and granulation, and I couldn't be happier with this set 😭❤️ the paints are top notch btw and worth every cent

Went to the samurai exhibit at the NCMA. They have a Hokusai print on display! Definitely worth checking out if you're in Raleigh

I love this set (Mona Omrani palette) for sketches. It's too big for urban sketching imo, but in the studio it contains just about every color you need to complete a project, so there's no need to get out multiple palettes.
