I’m not entirely sure, so I’m posting this to see what others think, but I believe there’s a strong possibility, given how well-known CURE is.

I’ve always been bothered by the cult setting in MAMIYA’s ending, it felt surprising and incomprehensible to me. But if the inspiration really is Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Mamiya, then it makes perfect sense, because that “Mamiya” is a true cult leader.

which is initially asked by MAMIYA players to Mamiya, or
Natsume’s search for meaning, or as Mamiya questioning Natsume, his other half.A funeral marks the dissolution of a person’s existence in the social sense. If your life begins at a funeral, then what are you and I, if we’ve never truly existed?

what needs to be pointed out in the brotherly conflict is that Touma, while controlling Haruki, is also controlling himself.bc unilateral control is not conducting. Conducting is simultaneously a role of guiding and being guided.

conducting to me feels like guiding the expression of emotions, its a two-way communication.although 17th touma is gentle, his teachers pointed out that he lacked emotion bc he was closed his heart. When he started engaging in two-way emotional control with harukias his focus,he got what he wanted

The next morning, the door opens, Minato is ecstatic. He turns to tell Haruki the news but realizes that under the blanket, there is a knife plunged into Haruki’s chest, he is lifeless. His cold hand remains clutching Minato’s, while Minato’s hand is grasping the still-warm handle of the knife

Minato refused, said, “ When we wake up tomorrow, let’s try to think of a way together.”In the middle of the night, Minato hears him groan softly. He reaches over and takes his cold hand, said, “We’ll find a way out.” Haruki doesn’t respond but clutches Minato’s hand in his own

Then he would eat the boiled fish tail meat. He felt happy that he had killed Haruki, but just as Touma tried to stand up, he fell to the ground—his legs had completely lost all feeling.

On the day Haruki died, his self-portrait was finished for the upper half of his body. Touma would cut off his fish tail, and the scales would be glued to the drawing paper, making it look like a real mermaid tail.

They’d start eating from the waist, then the arms, and parts of the face. Touma would cut off Haruki’s body parts and put them in the refrigerator, lying to him, saying, “My body is getting better and better.” The only part he didn’t eat was Haruki’s fish tail.

I find them very appealing. I admire individuals who have their own distinct logic; the world operates according to their rules within their own universe. ‘Writing’ is the vehicle for the values of both Keito and Arisugawa. In fact, they are each the true creator gods of their respective worlds.

The ending where Keito is confined is, in a way, a deprivation of his love – love transfers from Mamiya as the vessel to Keito, shifting from the spiritual to the material, objectifying his twisted attachment.
