Since then Israel has entrenched itself in southern Syria, occupying the 235 km² UN buffer zone in #Quneitra and expanding into #Daraa & Rural #Damascus. It has carried out over 200 incursions and extended deep aerial influence across Syria through surveillance and strikes.

After the Assad regime’s fall in #Syria in 2024, #Israel launched hundreds of strikes within 48 hours, destroying up to 80% of Assad’s weapons stockpiles and military infrastructure. Over a third of Israel’s 330 strikes that year followed the regime’s collapse.
