Came here to recommend this. An unusual read, but I've spent a lot of time thinking about it. There's a lot of fascinating...I dunno, Eldritch horror in space? that's kind of just part of the world building, and yet the book really isn't _about_ that somehow.

I've used Linux professionally for over 25 years. I like it. I would not recommend it to anyone who is not a developer or other IT professional.

And I run Windows at home. Because all I really want there is games, Web, and email.

A good storm and quietly sipping a mug of something hot absolutely recharges my soul.
