And yeah this is genuinely my first outing with creative writing, all my previous writing has always been historical. This background does help though, because for my specialization in modern military history I’ve read plenty of military reports

I was kinda drawing on that Hitchcockian idea if the audience knowing there’s a bomb, but the characters themselves don’t
I also thought such a style would add to the horror, as the people to whom the mechsplo happens don’t and will not get a voice via traditional writing
