They were both acquitted by our congress. Impeachment starts the process to remove a president but the congress must still hold hearings and vote before he is removed.

To be fair it is the House of Reps that get numbers based on population and the Dems lost that too. Partially because of Gerrymandering but also because there are a lot of folks who decided not to vote. We need better civics classes to help people understand why voting matters every time.
