So he keeps threatening, and people stay compliant to some degree to avoid that. This is what he wants. He doesnt want to cross that line.

This is the rare situstion where I understand both sides.

They changed the Department of Defense to the Department of War, there can't be a serious counter to this view.

And this POS helped facilitate it.

Expand the court so it is no longer an issue. Perhaps 19 seats or 25. One is probably alwys vacant. It's not a big deal to get to nominate a justice. Harder to game.

He was likely ordered to do it, he is the scapegoat, but he should still be held accountable.

But we won't. The dems will want to "move on," and we will remain vulnerable to the next authoritarian.

I do think there is a path where this works out well for MSU. But I understand the concern.

Well Google, as a search engine, has undeniably gone to shit, so this conclusion seems doubtful.

All those stories about her original stay was sooo smart and strategic.
November 11, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Also, is it standard to grant an administrative stay while a case is pending in the Circuit court when that court already denied the same request? Not unheard of, but is it standard?
November 8, 2025 at 12:36 PM
Won't there should be another study request if the 1st denies the stsy?

It's the same ridiculous takes everywhere it seems. Whenever a someone on the left loses, it's because they should've gone right. When someone on the left wins, it's deemed an anomaly.

Filing this under Joe Walsh takes i agree with, but probably for different reasons.

The word "posing" is doing a lot of work here.
November 4, 2025 at 7:49 PM
There has to be some shift in the status quo -- that's for sure. I dont feel like I have a good sense of how the incentives will play out. E.g., will small firms me content training and then losing their associates? We will have to rethink the bar's position on non-competes? Lots of questions!

Finally, never hear stories about the time lawyers saved using AI, or the theories/claims/defenses they were able to raise with the help of AI. Those stories are not entertaining, and they largely go unnoticed by judges.
October 26, 2025 at 8:15 PM
To me, it seems more likely that these hallucinations can be fixed going forward. And any lawyer that falls victim to this has no one to blame but himself. Also, I think it's fairly common that bad case law gets cited bc of a lack of care even without AI -- it's a symptom of the same problem.
October 26, 2025 at 8:14 PM
I hear you! So many issues. If AI is being used, how will new attorneys effectively learn, if they don't, how do they become good, experienced attonreys? All while using more energy. It feels existential. I just dont see how the industry (world) turns away from it.
October 26, 2025 at 3:07 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if within the next few years, insurers will require the use of AI.
