📣 Call for Papers: Special Issue on Crystal Growth & Related Characterization in Acta Crystallographica Section B.
Building on the launch of our Crystal Growth section in 2021, we continue to advance research in this key area.
Submission deadline: 15 Dec 2025.

Acta Cryst. Section B: Structural Science, Crystal Engineering and Materials is pleased to announce the commissioning of a Special Issue dedicated to Crystal Growth and Related Characterization. This follows the introduction of the journal’s Crystal Growth section in 2021 and reflects our continued commitment to advancing research in this area. We invite researchers to contribute original work on all aspects of crystal growth involving non-biological small molecules and extended organic, inorganic or hybrid materials. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: • Crystal growth mechanisms • Melting, sublimation, and dissolution behavior • Control of morphology, size, and polymorphism • Intermolecular interactions and the assembly of extended structures • Structural characterization via diffraction or atomic-scale imaging • Growth techniques accompanied by a clear crystallographic or structural analysis Submission deadline: 15 December 2025 All manuscripts will undergo standard peer review. Edited by Matias Velazquez (SIMaP, France), Geetha Balakrishnan (University of Warwick, UK) and Tatyana Bekker (Novosibirsk State University, Russia) The Special Issue will be published as a virtual collection on 30 April 2026.
