Anyone else feeling re-reading A Wrinkle in Time? The last time I read it I was the same age as Holly and it probably the same year. Not sure YA fiction will appeal to me as much now though. ;)

Amazing to get depressed every holiday season. I guess your parents and grandparents passing away does a number on you.

Jennifer English realizing she's a lesbian and falling in love with one of her mocap directors (Aliona Baranova) over the course of making BG3 and seeing all the queer folks embracing Shadowheart and the impact the game had is genuinely one of the best stories in game production in a long time
Congrats to Jennifer English for winning the Best Lead Performer award at the 2025 #GoldenJoystickAwards!

And her acceptance speech about queer joy was a love letter to @aliona.bsky.social 🥹🌈

I swear the ink used in some recent books I’ve purchased smells like motor oil. Different delivery services so I don’t think its from transit.

Pluribus is amazing! Her interactions remind me of dealing with a LLM chat bot.

In 2006 a high school English teacher asked students to write to a famous author & ask for advice.

KURT VONNEGUT - born 103yrs ago today - was the only one to respond.

His reply was a doozy.

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

My copy of Enshittification arrived. Of course, Waterstones sent me a damaged copy so are helping to continue the trend.

Worst part of getting older is seeing more and more people that you know pass away. Don’t forget to tell people that you love them and cherish every moment.

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.
