I don't like making uncharitable assumptions of people, but part of me wonders whether there's a group within Labour licking their chops at the idea of a turbocharged Reform cannabolising the Conservative vote at the next election.

Maybe I'm very wealthy, and my driveway is several kilometres long. You don't know. I choose to allow this ambiguity.

IIRC he won men age 18-29 by 56% in 2024 compared to 41% in 2020. His 2024 share from women in the same age range was 40%, which was also an increase, though I believe the increase was less dramatic.

I don't like the guy, but it's not the place of the Irish state broadcaster to make independent pronouncements on the fairness of it. Peaceful transition of power has occurred. We'll have to get on with the Realpolitik now.

In fairness, he was actually trying to quote White House economic advisor Oliver Sharky, but a win's a win.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The slippers have since been found in the conservatory. The issued court summons has now been amended to reflect the developing situation.

Later recorded Irish Brehon Laws had some very interesting provisions for women for their time period. Women continued to own their own independent property throughout marriage, physical abuse was grounds for financial compensation or divorce, and women were judges (Brehons) themselves too.

My headcannon is that the octopus in question was named for Charles Bukowski as is just honouring the character of his namesake.

Do I pronounce that "bru-nay"?

Yea it's becoming one of those clichés, only the conservatives can get away with raising taxes, only labour can get away with squashing unions, only tories can get away with talking about brexit.

Let's normalise average looking middle aged men letting their freak flags fly 🕺
January 16, 2025 at 10:21 AM
I hope this helps to finally makes labour feel like they won't be absolutely crucified for using the word "brexit" in a sentence but somehow I think it won't change much.

Frame of mind is incredibly important. Maybe it's the term "mental health" that prompts people to medicalise emotion issues in unhealthy ways sometimes. There's a spectrum opening up in civil discourse between discomfort and disability, that's a very bad thing.

I removed all shorts from my feed just by hitting "do not recommend" beside each short in a suggested panel of four. It seems to take the hint from that. I probably have to do it every month but it's an easy trade.

Jabs this year were uncommonly ineffective. Vaxxes are created yearly based on southern hemisphere winter flu viruses but it's a guessing game. Seems the medical community got it wrong this year. I have that flu now, it's a nasty one.

As long as you're not holding back on sardonic statements this evening at 8pm. It wouldn't be the same without them.
