Steal the keys? After giving them all your information?

Drive through plate glass…and try to take the keys again?

Do the wildfires force real estate prices higher long term, because of reduced supply and long rebuild times

Or, do prices go lower because thousands leave the area or even the state, reducing demand?

I’m in an area not usually impacted by Santa Ana winds, other than an inconvenience now and then

Winds have blown open an unlocked door, palm fronds are screaming down the street, and humidity is so low the electronic clock / weather gadgets can’t even display a reading

Shit is REAL
🚨 Here's what we know so far about the fast-moving Palisades Fire:
- About 30,000 people in the LA area were ordered to evacuate
- The blaze covers almost 3,000 acres and remains uncontained
- Separate fire near Altadena is rapidly expanding
Thousands Flee Los Angeles Fire as Dangerous Winds Whip Region
A fast-moving wildfire ripped through an affluent area of Los Angeles, destroying homes and forcing thousands of people to evacuate as firefighters warned that conditions would worsen overnight.

I’m moving over here, with the announcement from Zuckerberg

I’m also limiting myself to culture, business, and stocks.

Politics make me sad now. America makes me sad

Just landed in Fiji and there was a plane (I’m assuming a Boeing) with “United States of America’ and an American flag on the tail. It wasn’t a VC-25a. Local police stopped traffic for the dignitaries.

Any idea who it might be?

I don’t believe in ‘harbingers’
But I don’t believe in coincidence either.

Maybe The Big One is coming?

The elusive deep-water oarfish – considered to be a harbinger of bad news – was spotted yet again on the shores of Encinitas, California. It was the state’s third spotting of the species in the last three months, and only the 22nd over the past century.

Put baby in the corner
If Donald Trump follows through on his promised tariffs, the United States will likely trade much, much less with other countries. But what about the rest of the world?
What’s Left of Globalization Without the US?
Many countries will make up for lost US trade by trading more with each other.

Last time trump was president, woke up every morning and immediately started doom scrolling, wondering what stupid thing he said or did while California was still asleep. When he lost on 2020, it literally felt like a weight had been lifted.

Yup.

In fact, Windows 98 is around the time I started my web dev journey building my first website in Notepad.

That's right. No syntax highlighting. No copilot. Just plain text. 🤪
