@comicstitan.bsky.social you need to help local comic stores get the book. Stop only using Lunar! You know the problems with them! Add more distribution to help comic stores and their customers get your books!

Collecting classic comics is a great investment. Newer ones is playing the stock market and many crashes can happen. Video Games is great for classic games but you have to make sure they continue to work, newer games require DLC and online content so many will not have resale value in time

Demand vs scarcity. Plus consumer interest. First printing of One Piece volume one and the Shonen Jump Free Comic Book Day issue with One Piece are quite valuable. Comics with media ties increase because of new consumer interest (first appearances of characters in movies). Comics can be investments

@lonnienadler.bsky.social we would love to carry the book but @comicstitan.bsky.social still does not have a Canadian distributor! They ignored Canadian retailers for months,cut our orders, and still have not added Universal! Really wish that Titan respected Canadian comic stores and our customers.

Not officially confirmed but Nelvana, one of Canada's most storied animation studios, appears to have quietly closed down on Friday, yet another casualty of Corus Entertainment's struggle to survive.

FortierMorghan on Twitter: There is no news about this. No announcements. But Nelvana closed its doors today. My dad worked there. It was, to a great extent, the playground I grew up in. It breaks my heart where the industry is going. This company deserved better announcement around this. Better celebration of its contribution to the Canadian entertainment system. But just…. nothing.

Some know this animation studio for their work on Rock & Rule, Star Wars Holiday Special, Droids and Ewoks. I knew them for incredible 90s shows that captured my imagination as a child.

As a teen in 2006, Nelvana gave me my first foray into professional voice over with Lab Rat in Grossology, my first and only anime roles as Zeo in Beyblade: Metal Masters and Wynton Bakugan: Battle Planet, along with countless other productions up until this past year.
