My kid is in preschool run by MPRB and it is wonderful!! Ms Jenny and her staff are amazing. It’s affordable too! But not enough daily hours to be full time care for most families, which is a shame.

We need park commissioners who will not only protect RecPlus but expand it to meet growing demand.

Take Action MN has been leading on progressive issues across Minnesota for nearly two decades, and I'm proud to have their support as we work to create a more just and sustainable park system in Minneapolis!

Annie Young served the people of Minneapolis faithfully, spearheading causes and leading on issues people were too afraid to even talk about, and if I'm elected, I want to be just like her.

...and that is exactly what I'll do if I'm elected as one of your next at-large park board commissioners.

This election isn't over; we have about a month to go, and I am still working hard every day to earn your trust and your vote...

I've worked in Whittier and Stevens Square-Loring Heights to protect and expand their sparse and vital green spaces. And I've joined workers on the picket line across the city time and time again. I've consistently shown up and fought for community,...

And, despite not being elected, I already have a track record of championing these values while delivering for people. I've worked in East Phillips to promote climate resiliency, helping people lower their energy bills and emissions while preparing them for emergencies...

...community gardeners, neighborhood leaders, and so many more.

If elected, my only priority would be to serve the people of Minneapolis, and I want you to know the values that guide me: equity, transparency, sustainability, and fairness...

I am an independent progressive running a grassroots campaign focused on building a park system that works for people and planet. And I am proud of the coalition that I've built that not only includes Greens and Democrats but also socialists, independents, labor organizers,...

...and I hope to do a lot of great work with my DFL colleagues if elected. That said, when I knock on any of the thousands of doors we have knocked so far, I want people to know what I stand for, not wonder if I'm with one faction or another...

...Annie Young was authentically herself, always outspoken, and wore her values on her sleeve, and I have tried to do so as well. That is why, like Annie Young, I sought and received Green Party endorsement.

I have a lot of respect for the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party,...

...and even got the MPRB to reduce its pesticide use by 95 percent.

Her legacy has been my guide as I've moved through this campaign. Although I was never able to meet her, she’s inspired much of my work as an organizer, and what I learned from others is that...

During her 28 years on the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board as a Green, Annie Young worked across party lines and with community to make our park system more sustainable. She championed renewable energy on park facilities, fought to protect our lakes and green spaces,...

I've been thinking a lot about Annie Young lately. For those who don't know, Annie Young was a 7-term MPRB commissioner, an advocate for environmental justice and the co-op movement, and a voice for all those in Minneapolis fighting for a cleaner, kinder, and more just city... 🧵
