Part of the reason the culture war is electorally relevant is because lower class voters dont see the democrats as helping them economically.

I think voters have correctly identified that for the last 40 years the democrats have favored capital over labor. Changing that, over the long term, would have electoral consequences.

If there's probable cause that a crime has been committed any DA can bring charges if that crime was committed in their county. If the DA refuses to bring charges, anyone can ask a judge to issue a complaint under Wis. Stat. 968.02(3).

Sadly, that seems to be his point. He apparently thinks nothing should really be done until Trump disobey the Supreme Court and then His plan is to have everyone else rise up. Would be nice if the Senate minority party used their power before it got to that point.

I imagine part of the reason is because the stock is still massively overpriced due to musk's constant lies about future profitability.

Like, what's the common ground? Vote for dems every 2 years and hope we win then rinse and repeat?
March 5, 2025 at 9:39 PM
To do what needs to be done
March 5, 2025 at 9:38 PM
It's not clear to me where their is common ground to fight for. The tactics that can actually stop the GOP(court packing, aggressive gerrymandering, DC/PR statehood) were not really taken seriously in 2020. Based on mod. Dems response to the Adams situation it's hard to believe they are willing
March 5, 2025 at 9:38 PM
It's hard to work constructively with moderate dems when they were given control of the government in 2020 and completely failed to take the steps necessary to stop Trump. Nothing I've seen in the last few months makes me think they'll act differently the next opportunity they get.
March 5, 2025 at 9:26 PM
Also a constituent, totally agree, but the Dems need to change the party dramatically or we're going to be under GOP control more often than not (see the marquette poll released today). I'd hate to see our chance for big change quashed by a "blue dog" democrat.

I just hope we can find someone to run against him who is passably progressive.

Real economic hardship under Trump and she believed that he was going to make it affordable to have children. This type of voter would happily vote for Democrats if they actually passed helpful legislation.
