Saw Blood Incantation for the first time tonight and they were fantastic. If you get a chance to see them on this tour, do not hesitate!

Back from a very pleasant stay in Ghent. Lovely architecture, great food and drink and cool places to hang out in. Definitely intend to go back at some point.

Very much enjoyed seeing Wolf Alice at an intimate gig in Kingston earlier today. Ellie Rowsell is such a good singer!

Went to Wimbledon yesterday and saw two very good matches: Iga Swiatek v Liudmila Samsonova and Jannik Sinner vs Blake Shelton. Great weather for it too!

Visited the Grayson Perry exhibition at the Wallace Collection for my birthday earlier today. Good fun as always from Mr. Perry. Also had a very tasty Match Point Tart from L’eto in Covent Garden.

Another enjoyable outdoor gig. This time courtesy of Deftones, Weezer and High Vis. Crystal Palace Park is a really nice venue for outdoor shows.

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Dark Angel at their first London show in 34 years and playing their classic album Darkness Descends in its entirety! Also got to see the excellent Schizophrenia supporting them who I’ve wanted to see for ages. A great night of old-school thrash! \m/

Had a good time at the Wide Awake Festival this past Friday. Particularly enjoyed the sets from Mannequin Pussy, English Teacher, Sprints, Fat Dog and Kneecap. Hope it will be back next year.

Fantastic to see Great Britain reach the semifinals of the Billie Jean King cup. I think they have a decent shot of making it to the final. I’ll be tuning in tomorrow to see if they can progress further.

Seems to be the done thing to post a picture of one’s cat or other animal companion as a way of introduction here. Sadly, I’ve never had a cat of my own but I frequently spent time with my sister’s much missed feline Cookie. So here is a picture of her from 2011.
