Deciding whether another lives or dies is playing the role of a higher power that I’ve no interest in watching others pretend to be. Mind you, I think MAID should be considered as a potential for certain long-term offenders who’ll never realistically reintegrate into society. But what do I know lol!

Judging by this post, it sounds as though he’s advocating to reduce time spent on the app by accessing it every other day, instead of jumping back into the norm and accessing it every single day. That, and he notes that it was actually his kid’s idea. This sounds cautionary rather than promotional.

I don’t even know if you meant to respond to Hank or to someone else, but you do realize social media addiction is a real thing, right? It’s like telling a drug addict to just not do drugs, be disciplined! The urge is strong enough to render the user powerless. That’s quite literally the problem.

Suspected!?! How on earth can they expel someone under a suspicion?

“We’re expelling you for cheating.”

“Cheating? How?”

“Just a hunch.“

As always, I hope for the best outcome, even if I’m unaware of what that is. I stand with friends, fellow creators, and those who will likely always know much more on the subject than I do.

The future sparks my curiosity, which is a privilege in and of itself. Still, I appreciate the conversations.

If the app is banned, I will feel for my American friends who have used to app to create and strengthen relationships and share knowledge in the ways they have.

I also understand why those same friends may choose to create on another app if they can no longer connect on TikTok.

What I really recognize is that overall, as much as my own preference of spending time has shifted from social media back over to academia, this isn’t a discussion I’m well enough versed in to form an opinion. I am open to hearing and learning from those who know enough to have formed opinions.

I found that the less time I spent there, the more likely I was to do other things that I have grown to enjoy. Overall I’ve found that I’m pretty adaptable to whatever my norm is.

I feel like I hear both sides of the argument, and I understand the points made by both sides.
