I'm not disagreeing with you. What I'm thinking is that MSL has already sent messages to Slaf and Dach (benching and/or put lower in the line-up for some shifts).

Could this also be a way to send a message to both of them being 4th line and the lesser experienced players are higher in the line-up?

And it's not just the second wild card spot they're not far off from. They're even 3 points behind third place in the Atlantic as Tampa holds that spot with 19 pts. Granted, Tampa does have 3 games in hand.

Unfortunately, their next game is on Saturday. By then, the picture will be different. Only one way to get and stay in the mix is win. And if they lose, find a way to lose it in OT/SO.
