By the way, as a teenager I was always hopping on and off trains every weekend. It was around the same price as a bus, and was not rubbish - it was fantastic. In the past thirty years, I've used a train maybe half a dozen times.

In 2060, establishment journalists will be using the same argument against re-nationalising our healthcare services.

And Scotland is still obediently waiting for Westminster's permission to begin thinking about independence!

Good for them!

As Israel's supporters will of course vote multiple times and then point to the lack of boycott evidence as validation, I'm keen on the idea of targeting Germany as a protest vote in the hope of awarding them a Pyrrhic victory every single year, rendering the competition meaningless.

We're encouraged not to vote *for* candidates but *against* others. The result tends to be a prime minister that two thirds of the country "tactically voted" against

...who reveals that they lied to get the job

...and then quits, handing over the position to someone else without an election.

Throughout my adult life, the UK public has been pleading with successive governments to invest in renewable energy. Now Redwood's sitting here whining that we have to buy our kit from China, who made that blindingly obvious investment back when Redwood was in government with his thumb up his arse.
