Watching the play of early morning light passing through the blackthorn tree this morning made me realize that there are moments of pure beauty and wonder that one can’t fully capture on film and can only be enjoyed in that moment. A sweet melancholy washed over me knowing it can’t last.

Every year I decorate the altar of Hecate’s feast with a ring of white and red roses. It is not a traditional offering but came to me early on in a vision of what the feast altar should look like and I’ve done it ever since.
