I finally got frustrated enough to switch from Spotify to Pocketcasts, and it appears to have fixed the issue, so might just be Spotify being optimised like chunky cat puke. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I was expecting waaaay more intrigue based on the nature of the puzzles, but it seems like most of it's in the background. I don't feel like I'm going to uncover much more in the way of narrative through more exploration, so my motivation is very limited
