Did you know that Rockville has a birding "hot spot"? Today, I was thrilled to join the Friends of RedGate Park and local filmmaker Cintia Cabib at the showing of Cintia's documentary, Bird Walk: the story of the transformation of RedGate Park into a public park for people and an oasis for birds.

We will never forget. 24 years ago this morning, we suffered a horrific tragedy. This morning, I was honored to participate in the Rockville September 11th Remembrance Ceremony and to personally thank some of our community's brave first responders who put their lives on the line daily.
