Only at-large bids should be playing in play-in games. Auto qualifiers should be in the field of 64. They earned it.

St Mary’s is a really good team. That game could have gone either way. On the bright side, Innocenti’s play has completely turned this team around defensively.

The WCC is better this year, but seeing a Gonzaga team this talented lose back-to-back conference games while allowing Santa Clara hang up 103 in The Kennel is a little baffling.

Beat Gonzaga twice this year, won the regular season WCC title and the WCC tourney and St Mary’s still can’t do anything to help the conference and get a couple tourney credits.

After that Virginia game I’m not sure how anyone could argue that there are “great” teams on the wrong side of the bubble. No need to expand the tournament.
