But I also don't want a company backed by Thiel to have this government contract. Also, their product should speak for itself, they shouldn't have to get a Chinese company banned.

Fine, then lets reform our immigration laws. Oh right, Trump told Congress not to pass an immigration reform bill so he could instead deport people without due process.

I would add that in states without mail-in voting that Election Day is a holiday that must be recognized by employers so people can go vote. For essential workers, shifts should be organized such that employees have several hours off work during polling hours.

What a ridiculous headline. More like “consumers finally realize it’s wasteful to buy new electronics every few years”. Forced obsolescence makes me so angry, it’s terrible for personal economies and the environment.

“Who are saying things are expensive” doesn’t give any deference to what most Americans know to be true and are actually experiencing themselves. They don’t give one iota of a damn about how their actions and complete mismanagement of the economy impacts Americans.

Of course we won’t get a vote now.
Agreed it’s nearly impossible to negotiate with them but they had to be getting pressure to end the shutdown too (from the airlines). I really think the Dems had a decent shot at getting something in exchange for signing the CR.

I don't think the airlines could see beyond the immediate need to reopen the government so there are ATCs and TSA personnel working, so they don't have to cancel flights.
