We have developed a monogenic diabetes calculator that integrates clinical features, C-peptide and islet autoantibody results to help prioritise individuals who may benefit from genetic testing.

Universal GDM screening at 18-20 weeks may not improve pregnancy outcomes, except for a reduction in neonatal hypoglycemia. Newborns of women diagnosed with GDM at 18-20 weeks had higher adiposity.

We found a higher risk of stent failure in patients with type 1 followed by those with type 2 diabetes, compared to subjects without diabetes, driven by in-stent restenosis and stent thrombosis.

Despite ADA warnings, fluoride tubes are often used for glucose tests as granulated citrate is not approved in the US. Simple centrifugation is key for diabetes screening.

Hypoglycemia is a common and deadly complication of type 1 diabetes. Continuous glucose monitoring may now provide better clinical guidance than prior hypoglycemia symptom assessments.

Compared to older-onset type 2 diabetes, younger-onset type 2 diabetes shows greater adiposity, lower HDL, and better SBP and eGFR at onset, with these differences largely persisting during follow-up.
