Quite sure the royal family thinks changing a name and banishment to a quiet life of luxury in Norfolk is sufficient punishment. I suspect the general public thinks he should probably stand trial. #PrinceAndrew

Attacks on Iran have nothing to do with nuclear weapons.
Look, I don’t much care what Tulsi Gabbard says either, but here’s the thing: I didn’t appoint her to be my Director of National Intelligence.
COLLINS: Tulsi Gabbard testified in March that the intelligence community said Iran wasn't building a nuclear weapon

So Trump is just introducing VAT as a federal tax, but businesses won’t be able to claim it back and it will apply to everything. Including essential items like food and children’s clothing etc.
Leavitt: "The president is committed to the 10% baseline tariff not just for the UK but for his trade negotiations with all other countries as well."

America in for a rough ride with this kind of ‘thinking’
REPORTER: But we're seeing as a result that ports here in the US, the traffic has really slowed and now thousands of dockworkers are truck drivers are worried about their jobs

TRUMP: That means we lose less money ... when you say it slowed down, that's a good thing, not a bad thing

If a green politician in America has said this as a way to reduce consumption and help reduce global warming they would be absolutely destroyed by the right wing press.
Trump: "I don't think a beautiful baby girl that's 11 years old needs to have 30 dolls. I think they can have three dolls or four dolls ... they don't need to have 250 pencils. They can have five."

This is barking mad. How does he not realise how mental this sounds.

Eye-opening graph. The biggest wildfire incidents in the UK don't occur when it's hottest, in high summer: they take place in April - *when landowners set fire to their grouse moors & lose control of burns.*

Time to ban moorland burning.

The architects for @manchesterairport.bsky.social need their heads examined, hundreds of millions spent on a new terminal and then design about 6 toilets in the whole thing. Got to hope they add more before transferring all T3 flights to it.

Don’t know if this is what he is doing but it makes more sense than the blanket tariffs he has introduced. I also think it’s about putting SME’s out of business and let big companies take market share.

Brexit has never looked quite so ruinously insane as it does right now. And it’s always been idiotic. Alone, outside the EU, needing to improve our relationship with our own continent but also terrified of the wrecking-ball lunatic in the White House. Cornered by our own ‘sovereign’ stupidity.

From the Derek Thompson in the Atlantic yesterday, “By the numbers, the tariffs are less an expression of economic theory and more a Dadaist art piece about the meaninglessness of expertise.” So that is….not comforting.
