The last time I saw Jubi Arriola-Headley he bowed at my feet & showered me with love. We didn’t see each other often but we had such a tender connection. I was honored to publish his kilt essay at @justfemmeanddandy.bsky.social. I’m not ready to accept he’s gone. A tremendous kind fierce spirit.

New foodventure: very simple Filipinx chicken noodle soup. It’s so wild, and amazing, to very unexpectedly be a person that cooks now, something I’ve wanted to be able to do my whole life. I’m not fancy but I’m really fulfilled by this new practice in my life. 🥰🙏🏼

February 20. Oumi Janta, Senegalese jam skater who went viral while we were all home in the early days of COVID. Jam skating is a mix of dancing, skating, and gymnastics, influenced by roller disco in the 60s and 70s. I could watch her groove forever. #BlackHistoryMonth
