I absolutely couldn’t put this one down and it just flew to the top of my list for holiday romances (of which I’ve read… a lot)

This book is somehow so much fun while also being achingly tender. The pull between Maggie and Ethan is the kind that makes your heart squeeze and your eyes start to burn a little bit because you’re sure you’re going to start crying any minute

And as people who make up crimes for a living, our two MCs Maggie and Ethan ✨obviously✨ have to team up to solve the case

They receive a mysterious invitation to a Christmas retreat at an English manor which turns out to be being hosted by none other than mystery writer LEGEND Eleanor Ashley. What follows is, obviously, a classic snowed-in, locked-room mystery with the whole cast of cooky characters

This book is billed as Knives Out with a holiday romcom twist and features a cozy mystery queen and thriller king as our two main characters who are, obviously ✨rivals✨ (but like… the best kind of rivals where SHE thinks they’re rivals and he’s secretly been in love with her for years)

2/ tbh I knew this one was either going to be an instant hit or a major flop based on the cover alone and thankfully IT DID NOT DISSAPOINT

Lore piece #7: last year for my birthday I decided I wanted cannoli so I booked a last minute flight to visit a Booktok friend (@ zoereadsqueer) and we not only got cannoli but she threw me a birthday party where we made people do dramatic readings of my favorite sapphic spice scenes 🌶️
