Actually it's the opposite. GOP preaches for the higher authority until things that they don't like are done, then they go for the "states rights" argument. Conservatives are totally fine with government overreach when its aligned with their views.

To think this is from the people that were outraged by a tan suit and yet completely fine with this...

This.
You guys didn't go after the confederate, nor after the bankers in 2008. A whole class of people needs to learn that after fucking around, there's a find out moment.

Not saying you need to bring back the guillotine either... But seize everything since that's all they care about.

This is cult/fascism 101.
The leader can't guilty of anything, Any "crime" he commits, it's to save everyone and therefore, not really a "crime".
And if it is then it wasn't a crime back then.
And if it is, he's not alone doing it.
And if he is, she did way worse.

It would be so, so easy to do anything with accountability.

Employees are interviewed yearly about their performance and being let go of if they "don't add value to the company". Let's treat all those "run the country like a business" people the same way : "add value" to society of GTFO.

It's not just being dumb, it's being a coward.
Hiding behind short, quippy and wrong statements to not have to question and find out you may be part of the problem. They "it is what it is" their way to sound sleep at night....

... then one day they're affected and suddenly it's "unfair".
