Yeah BlueSky doesn't quite replace FB in the way that it needs to. Seems like you have to interact with other posters a ton before you even get a few likes. Which I guess makes sense but also waaah what happened to my following lol

I have not heard of Substack. Does anyone know of a social media alt that's good for personal life posting? I want to share updates with my family and friends like I did on Facebook but Bluesky and others are much too public and discord isn't as user friendly to the older folks.

I feel ya. I would do the same but I gotta find an alternate way to keep in touch with long distance friends/family that aren't super tech savvy. I want to see if I can get them to figure out Discord for picture sharing at least lol

Lol in all seriousness though that sucks. I think negative interaction can still trigger the algorithm to send you more so its tricky. You need other people to send you different kinds of stuff to fix it

If you have right wing media in your feed, it's because you are paying attention to it. The algorithm is trained by what you watch most.
