I’ve never rolled back into anyone, or at all, in 25 years of driving. Because I know how to drive a car. Still much prefer modern ones. If you’ve not had them you can’t know how convenient it is.

Interesting. Not encountered either of those problems. I can imagine wanting to manually control clutch and handbrake in the snow though yes.

Electronic handbrakes and brake hold make driving way less hassle no? Hill starts especially.

Hope he can stay warm. Easy to take car warmth for granted until you break down. I once had a 2.5 hour wait in January and I’d left my coat at home thinking i wouldn't need it for the 15 metre walk into the place I had been going

I code this sort of thing and I’ve many thankless hours making sure exactly this sort of thing doesn’t happen. Some of us care about user experience but sadly the vast majority is made without love.
