This problem did not begin with Trump. You have to look at what other countries do. Regulate your media, require news services to be factual. Keep politics out of tv shows - right or left. Our talk show hosts do not flat out tell viewers to vote for their party. This is not normal.

That rises to 80% of Republicans. Other western countries don't work this way - we turn on the parties we voted for in a heartbeat when they get things wrong. Terrorising whole cities? Murdering your own citizens? And 37% think that's awesome? Vladimir Putin wishes he had that propaganda machine.

The Trump regime does know all about children.

I can't help feeling it should be the rest of the US striking, though, in *support* of Minnesota.

If Trump seriously just wanted NATO to defend Greenland better, *why did he threaten tariffs on the countries who sent troops to Greenland*. You'd put tariffs on the countries that *didn't* send troops, no? This is absolutely not what he wanted. He really is that deranged.

Sounds crazy? Ok, but how would it have sounded a year ago if I'd said Trump would put a neo-nazi in charge of ICE and cheer as they straight up murder US citizens? He does whatever he can get away with. Invading Greenland is only crazy because Europe would never let him do it. But if they had...

I wanted all along." But if people don't laugh, if they say, "Sure, we could do that," then before you know it old Mr Smith is dead and they're counting out his money. So sure, Trump will take the out Rutte gave him and claim the win. But if Europe had blinked? You bet he'd have taken Greenland.

🧵 This is what psychopaths do. They say something outrageous & see how people react. "Let's kill the neighbour for their money", for example. If people look at the psychopath like they're crazy then hey, it was just a joke. Everyone laughs. "I made everyone laugh," says the psychopath, "that's what

I wouldn't say less creative, but definitely slower. I had a book nearly ready to go and then health got worse, haven't been able to do a thing on it since 😞 Driving me mad! Re. audiobooks, I did find it hard to focus on those as well to start with, but stuck with it & now it's like watching tv :)

It's not really my place to comment, as an outsider, but I can't help thinking there's a name for a group that uses fear and murder to accomplish political ends.

At this point, by definition, ICE are a state-sponsored terrorist organisation.

This reminded me so much of my symptoms (and coping strategies!) though I'm more severe.

I don't know if this would help you, but I have the exact same issues with reading, and I found audiobooks largely solved the problem for me. (Though it took a while to get used to.) You write really well btw!

Woooaaaaaah 😬 So sorry that happened to you, must've come as a real shock. On the plus side, it's also a lucky escape, in the sense that you need to know when someone secretly thinks that way. He was always that person, the nazis in power just emboldened him to say so openly 🫤

Yes, exactly that. And if the private company is too important to be allowed to fail, it can be as exploitative and predatory as it likes, and the government has no choice but to support it. Fines have zero impact because prices will simply be raised. Can't be allowed to fail.

100% agree. I'm not against privatisation in principle, but for it to work there has to be effective competition, regulation, and the company cannot be too important to be allowed to fail. Water utilities meet none of these tests. It was alwsys political ideology taken to an insane extreme.
