The Coalition will do what it always does when Labor sidles up to them to negotiate on legislation. Flirt, for a little while, extract a concession or two, then stand Labor up, leaving them looking stupid.
If Labor really wants a commitment from the Coalition, they're going to have to get married.

Labor were certainly less transparent before the election. But it did at least signal it wasn't interested in restricting fossil fuel interests when it kyboshed the EPBC Act reforms.

That’s the problem with parliamentary Labor.
