Crunch is staff being forced to work extra hours because of poor management. They need to plan projects better and stop under resourcing projects.

We used to use RAM disk software all the time in 8-bit game dev. It was way faster to assemble the code that way. We had bat files that copied the code to the RAM disk when you turned the computer on. You just had to remember to copy it back to the HDD every so often.
