Obviously a rough day yesterday for Rep. John McGuire, so he decided to send out an email blaming Democrats for the government shutdown. He reminds us that he has been supporting all those affected by the shutdown by visiting the private jet terminal at the Charlottesville airport.

In the middle of the screenshotted paragraph, there is a sentence that reads, "That's why I recently visited the Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO) to thank our TSA agents and talk about the impacts of the shutdown on airport operations." I highlighted the beginning of this sentence to draw the reader's attention to it. Another screenshot of the same email from Rep. McGuire's office. This screenshot is from the end of the email and shows a photo included with the email. It is the same photo Rep. McGuire shared on social media last month, which shows McGuire speaking with two other people at what appears to be the Signature Aviation private jet terminal at the Charlottesville airport. McGuire is standing in front of a large logo that reads "SIGNATURE AVIATION." He is wearing a suit, as is one of the other men in the photo. The third person in the photo is wearing a visibility vest that reads "MANAGER" and "SIGNATURE AVIATION." No one in the photo is wearing a TSA uniform.

Congratulations Zyahna! Colby and I were outside of Charlottesville High School tabling for Zyahna yesterday—it was such a joy to see the enthusiasm and get to be a tiny part of Zyahna's campaign. Lots of reasons for hope today.

It was a short time window without much notice—unsurprisingly, I didn't see anyone else there (aside from the congressman's staffer, who was very nice).
