Ange has been in the game a long time. He will know that the clandestine search for his replacement has begun.

Whether he is at Forest after the international break or not depends on if a suitable replacement can be found.

I’ve sympathy for his situation but have lost faith in it improving.

I’ve got so much time for Martin and everything he has done for Forest, but there is an element of revisionism on his time as Forest manager.

He did win his last three games, dead rubbers though they were. However the style was cagey and uninspiring. Few fans expected a good season.

Well, I agree it’s not a project and we need to get results this season. A few wins would raise the mood for everyone.

But I’m looking a lot further than three to five games. I won’t be making any judgment on him this side of Xmas.

I feel some concerns have been overdone by the press because Ange was so rude to them last season. He’s also from a non-traditional footballing nation, which brings scepticism.

The club’s profile is now way higher than it was four years ago and as fans it’s weird seeing every move widely analysed.

It’s unsettling and exciting in equal measure.

Losing Nuno so soon was sad and then became inevitable.

Not ignoring the concerns over Ange’s style of play, but we have got the manager who is the current holder of the European competition we are in.

Surprisingly few managers have won trophies.

In 2005, our long suffering season ticket holders were goaded into renewing by the club with the slogan: “We’re serious about promotion. Are you?”

We finished second bottom and were relegated to the third tier.

My reading of the Gyokeres goal was that Savona could have got a head on it but let it run, and Eze punished him.

The defensive line was about 30 yards out. It’s written like they were on the half way line.

I’ve also seen many descriptions of Forest being a “low block squad”, as if they don’t have the technical ability to do anything else.
