Ned Hallowell, M.D., one of the two writers of "Driven to Distraction" posits that anyone who has ADHD needs a creative outlet of some type - it could be art, it could be cooking, it could be almost anything - but your brain needs a creative outlet or it will be creative in self-critique.

When you are diagnosed but have imposter syndrome, sometimes this is because the parents you come from share the same traits (as would genetically be expected), and the friends you have are tolerant because of their own neurodivergent quirks. Focus on self-care over labels.
