Congress does have teeth (they just refuse to use them currently). Under a functioning Congress, DOJ and FBI officials would be grilled on why they didn’t follow the law and if their answers are insufficient, they’d be impeached and removed.

I doubt there is a law on the books for such things because the Constitution is there to make it clear. So ‘high crimes’ probably not, but violating his oath to the Constitution sounds just as good.

I don’t see Rs doing any more than some mildly discouraging language. They’ve given up on anything related to Article I.
Other than impeachment, what could they even do because they certainly won’t do that.

I don’t have faith in the release of the files because there are legitimate exceptions to the type of abusive imagery being released which would finally shock the die hards into seeing these people for who they are.

Kelly for President… yeah I could go for that, but we need a real DA. Kelly doesn’t have any law background. Would be pretty funny to make Letitia James the DA. I can’t think of anything that would make the felon angrier.

A long time ago I had heard about an idea in the 1950s or 1960s to have micro nuclear plants on like every block that would be about the size of a fire hydrant. (No idea about the technical feasibility there)
Then someone realized it isn’t a good idea to spread uranium all over the country.

I also like Cris Rock’s joke about increasing the price of ammunition. Just put a 100,000% tax on it. It shouldn’t infringe the 2A since you can own arms (you just can’t afford to fire it). You’d probably have to also include powder, casings, primer and bullets for those self-loaders.

I’ve heard there are more Dems in TX than Rs. The Dems in the state are so beaten down that they just never vote.

Domestic policy can probably be fixed faster than the foreign policy. A lot of countries no longer think of the US as a partner in maintaining foreign order.
With the actions in the Caribbean, the US is more likely to be treated like North Korea and this will last decades.

Despite the clear evidence the last two times, Republicans refused to face reality and feared for their own political futures.
