yeahhhhhh i feel that! fabric directly on skin can feel painful too (esp if you’re used to a barrier of hair)…. no clothes is the obvious answer to this (& most of society’s ills tbh) - at least when it’s above freezing temperatures (ill admit some utility for extended time in the snow)

i wouldn’t say it NEVER hurts (u ever have body hair work its way through the fabric of your clothes and then the clothes move weird? or ingrown hairs…)

no… i did this in a few hours, a whole pillow with of thread would take an eternity to weave in!

this is for a picture about changing seasons btw (“slipping out of fall”? “falling out of autumn”? something like that)… so i guess i have a deadline (winter)

i’m (unfortunately) rarely examining my own emotions directly enough to intentionally reflect them in my art. i’m sure i do it unintentionally, but the closest i get is drawing sleeping ppl when i’m having an insomnia episode? maybe that counts, idk,

oh! i admire when people can do that intentionally! but i meant “feeling” as in “physical sensation” - in this instance imagining twisting my arm to reach in a particular way made some of my imaginary muscles contract and burn from exertion, clueing me in to where i needed to put lines down!

i read a post recently about art being sort of like synesthesia for somebody in that they think more about the feeling of something than the visuals of it while they draw and I was too cowardly to say 'hey me too' but....me too (and it's very fun when it works!!)

suddenly you can draw it in a passable approximation of the correct shape without having to look up reference first and it feels good, you know?? like hahaha now i remember why i like to do this!!!
