When I read the Salt Path my Spidey-sense tingled at the vagueness around the business deal causing the Winn's to lose their home. So did an investigative journalist's. Thanks for sharing, Rory.

Went to Chartwell yesterday with family as a Father's day trip. It's a bit of a trek from Cambridge but worth a visit and we will probably go back.

Just got back from a great trip to Keswick in the Lake District. Spending the time with family, closer to nature, and moving a lot is very fulfilling and a week was not long enough!

Had brunch at Hot Numbers roastery - yummy maple bacon pancakes. But the sugar crash is real - quick rest needed beforetaking daughter to the playground!

Listening to the soundtrack of the BBC's A Perfect Planet. Brilliant, and I haven't even watched the series yet.

I think mother's day went down well this year! Proud of my five year old for choosing to spend her own money on a gift for mum. And we had a nice trip to the Cambridge Botanic Gardens.

Spring arriving and our magnolia tree seems a lot happier this year. Although it is not fully out yet, it at least seems to have remembered how to make nice flowers again after spending last year being sad about a less-than-ideal pruning the year before.

Experimenting running with two watches, here's a plot showing the HR they measuring. The run was 2k easy, 2x(1km tempo, 1km easy).

1. The Pixel 3 always goes too high at the start, and it's wrong.
2. The Garmin completely screwed up on the first tempo lap, and this led me to exceed my target.

I'm unreasonably pleased that a charging bug on my Pixel 7 Pro where it charged slowly on some higher end (PPS) fast chargers has gone away.

It was pretty widely reported on the net but I couldn't find any release notes about a fix. Thanks, Android Devs, whoever you were!

I love the countryside around @nationaltrust.bsky.social Ickworth estate; the old trees, woodland, water. Had a lovely cycle round there yesterday with the family.
