We are largely here because of the immunity ruling by SCOTUS. It simply made trump more brazen in his lawlessness. He might have held back a little bit if he thought he could be criminally charged like he was after his first term. SCOTUS basically told him to just do whatever the hell he wants.

And once the oligarchs have set up retirement plans so both can live the billionaire lifestyle they so want, we'll likely see one or both retire during trump's term to appoint younger, inexperienced, and loyal judges. Conservatives would have a super majority stranglehold on SCOTUS for decades.

I was shocked by the capitulation by mainstream media (settling stupid cases they easily could have won), law firms, and corporations. Congress has essentially given trump all their power, and watched him commit crime after crime, in complete silence.

It would have been so easy - all they had to do is to rule like every lower court did, and allow Denver to keep him off their ballot. Hell, they could just have refused to hear it, leaving the Appeals Court ruling in place. Other states would likely have followed, and we wouldn't be here.

And if he had been given more time, we'd know a lot more about the documents trump stole, who he showed them to, and sold to foreign entities.
