Same. I prefer Beauchamp over the names on this list. But, what makes the most sense is a guard for me. If Maxey and or VJ/Jared have to miss a game at the same time, it may be better to have a Bufkin or Kyle Lowry ? Dont really know, we probably cooked either way 😅

But yeah right now its more fun watching Maxey and VJ playing like in the NY game, then watching those 30+ past their prime guys control the ball like that (even when they drop 30 on good %) 🥲

That’s a good point. I’ll say they were just constantly moving or making the ball move with quick decision. Embiid and PG are mostly slow and methodical in their approches, its a lot off everybody standing around watching and taking what’s left. Also none of those three are real playmakers

Yes I think too that Nurse just let guys do what they want a lil too much, and it does not help the offense

The best fit for that Maxey/Embiid duo is a player like Oubre, if he was a 35+% : a player who’s really good at cutting, playing and moving off ball around their 2man game, and a good catch and shooter from 3

PG just likes to shoot off the dribble or post up too much. He is not that much off a seamless fit like everybody was saying. And the Jo/Maxey is really good, but its really a 2 man game : other players barely touches the ball. So PG and even VJ are just standing there and not really involved at all

I agree with all that, but if you sign Bassey (who is a good 3rd stringer but he is not a top backup) and play him above Bona, what message do you send him ? Basically telling him we absolutely not believe in you and your trade value is down too

I like Bassey too, but we have Biid, Bona, Drum, Broome (who do not really count but still a early 2nd round rook), Barlow, Even some Walker. Its hard to bring another C. A point guard would be good

Im okay with Barlow starting, or playing 20 or so min. But we cant close games with a non shooter in the PO’s I think

I would go with Oubre at the 3 and PG at the 4, or Grimes if Oubre’s shooting is really off. Still worried about Embiid’s rebounding/activity, but as of right now I’d say the priority for me is having maximum spacing in the lineup, over a good defender. Teams are really not respecting DB’s shot

And he still could have made either one of is quick layup after driving by KAT or another one using the glass. He was good at it last year, the more he plays the more its gonna come back hopefully

Same. Unless he catches fire from deep, he is below Average in everything else, and some really bad reps with the ball in his hands. I think we may have overrated him after a season were everything went bad

Just too much defensive lineups from Nurse lately, and too many minutes with 2 non shooters or guys that the opposing defense can just give a Little attention and be okay with it
