9. Erick Sermon - Dynamic Duos

One half of EPMD drops basicly a mix tape concept hip hop album focusing on iconic rap duos, low key one of the best hip hop albums of the year imo

8. David Gilmour - The Luck and Strange Concerts

Its David fucking Gilmour playing guitar for hours what more do you want? Oh and his daughter sounds like an angel on Between Two Points Id buy an entire album from them together such a pretty song.

7. Atmosphere - Jestures

Slugs and Ants best work in YEARS. Ant goes hard on Brother Ali's new project also

6. Frankie and The Witch Fingers - Trash Classic

This is such a fun album. Its like The Talking Heads but with distortion and cranked to 11. They go hard live also.

5. Black Key - No Rain No Flowers

Im not a fan of old Black Keys, not a big fan of the band for the most part but I loved this album. They wanted to make an arena rock album and hit it out of the park (was even used for the MLB playoffs) to me it takes me back to that Motown rock vibe of my youth

4. Clips - Let God Sort Em Out

If you like hip hop this is the album of the year what more can be said that everyone else hasn't said? Welcome back Malice can't wait for more.

3. King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard - Phantom Island

Continues with the pass the mic rock tunes from Flight but adds an orchestra to the mix making it such a delight. No skips no filler front to back great album.

2. Propagandhi - At Peace

My punk album of the year, I was never a big fan of their earlier work but their stuff since about Victory Lap or so has really caught my ear. A lot of songs on this resonated with me this year.

Didn't like the new Atmosphere album? Thought it was their best release in years honestly.
