One more before bed: 'Surfing on the Lava' from the Jitsu Squad soundtrack

With Johnny Gioeli/Crush 40 unlikely to be returning to the Sonic series, getting to hear Johnny belt out C40-coded vocals for other games was a treat.

I healed just in time for the new episode of Welcome to Derry!

Fight'N Rage is the one I am most excited about. I have fallen head over heels for beat-em ups this year, and this one specifically looks gorgeous with its chunky 16-bit graphics and flashy designs.

Another track that hit me with some hype was 'Rising Up' from the Streets of Rage 4 soundtrack.

In a soundtrack full of back-to-back bangers, Rising Up hit me with an "Oh my god" moment as the track literally rises up during the elevator portion.

The climax/final battle of Bananza brought tears to my eyes from the raw excitement of what I was seeing and playing.

The credits rolling, however, had me near to crying. Something that's nigh on impossible these days due to my medications severely stunting my emotions one way or the other.

First up is the Donkey Kong Bananza theme, titled 'Breaking Through!'

When Nintendo does a vocal track, I immediately stand up and listen, and Breaking Through is top-tier music, period. It tells a story, catchy as all heck and performed masterfully by Jenny Kidd.
