If you’d told me on Jan 6th 2021 that the man responsible for that horrific attack would end up returning to the office he tried to steal that day, and that he’d do so after calling the attackers “heroes” & “hostages” he was going to pardon, I’d have thought you were out of your damn mind.

And yet…

I got annoyed with myself this evening, because I was feeling irritable and slightly resentful at my child’s minor requests.

Then, I realized that I started my “shift” at 4am, so I maintained my positive, supportive attitude for 14 hours straight before I started struggling.

Caregivers need help.

I’m off work (special education teacher at an online school) this week on intermittent FMLA to care for one of my kids who’s undergoing a major (multiple months long) orthopedic procedure. I can’t write complicated docs, but I CAN make gfree, vegan flat bread/donuts for my family.
